Applying for Data
SECC Phase I, II, and III protocol documentation and data sets containing analysis and item level variables are available to qualified researchers. Researchers who qualify become affiliates with the national study staff in utilizing the data from Phase I of the study. The application process which is required to protect the rights of participants is very important.
In order to receive the data, researchers and institutions must meet the criteria and obligations as stated in the application which is provided below. Upon receipt of completed requests, The Research Triangle Institute (RTI), as the data coordinating center for the study, will review the request and provide the data and documentation to qualified users and monitor the continued use of the data.
The application is in PDF format which requires Adobe Acrobat Reader. If needed, Adobe Acrobat can be downloaded free of charge from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html.
